Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Current mood: excited

Things I am looking forward to....
soaking up the sun in Tuscany

Going to the beach in Sydney- Seeing the pacific ocean, laying on the warm sand

Getting dressed up and going to Opera Bar- Having a glass of champagne between the Opera house and the Harbour Bridge and appreciating Sydney Harbour

Seeing the people who I have missed so so much over the last year- my best friends in the entire world.

Being able to hug my dad properly, to go bike riding with him and to go sailing with him

Walking my dog

Starting a new job

Buying an apartment

Always having someone to call, to go shopping with, to have a drink with.

Sleeping in my own bed!

Not being ultra crowded on public transport
The rest (!) of your wardrobe
BBQs
Cheaper groceries

However, you will lose:

Cool english pubs
Prison break/lost/desperate housewives in bed
Boozy picnics in Green Park
Easy and cheap travel to other countries
Top shop/H&M etc
The tube (ok, maybe not late at night, or on the metro line but it is reliable!)
Greggs
Shwarmas from a shop the size of a fridge
My witty humour!

ah, i see why you're heading back..

kebabs are better than Shwarmas (albeit the fridge size shop is funny!)

I can still watch dvd's in bed (in fact my bed is bigger and better!)

Boozy picnics can be had at the beach :)

your witty humour is returning to Australia pretty soon after my sorry ass is!

I will miss London, a lot!! I'm just getting excited :)

Mmm Tuscany..

Damn you and your travelling ways.

I was just at the airport an hour ago inspecting the premesis to make sure they were in top-tip shape for your return. Ok i lie i was there to see off my parents but you'll be glad to know whern you get home that you'll have Krispy Kreme, Maccas, AVIS and all those other aussie institutions to welcome you home.

To add to the list:
Swimming in the beaches at dusk.
The smell just before a thunderstorm in summer.
Skies that are actually properly blue.

:)

they sell Krispy Kreme at tesco and it tastes the same.

however, cheeseburgers do taste better in Australia (I'm assuming its due to the higher general quality in the beef) and I may have to make use of the inhouse macdonalds that Kingsford Smith offers.

Hopefully i will have the full family welcome and won't need AVIS, but in case they forget about me its good to know I can hire a car! (although I don't know if i can drive anymore... look out sydney!)

dusk swimming, blue sky and rain smell are very important things that i will definately look forward to :)

ps: thanks for inspecting the airport!
